Three days into 2012, and still some of my work from last year makes me smile. These two scarves are part of the Salt Water Taffy series; Michael Stadler’s photo shows how richly colored and textural they are. Almost good enough to eat. Over the next period of time, as I work my way into this new year, I’ll be posting more of his recent photos of work done in 2011, as well as vignettes of the studio, and even a few of The Weaver at Work. Or fooling around.
Part of what’s great about being here in this workspace is that it’s exclusively mine, and so every aspect of it is arranged and organized to suit myself. The colors are my selections, the patterns I weave are my designs, the way things are stored or displayed is what makes sense to me.
How could I NOT love being here??!!
