Endings and Beginnings (and a guessing game)

A few minutes ago, I finished the beaded hemstitching on the second Time Warp shawl ~

And yes, dangitall, the beads are hard to see in this photo, as they were in several others I took.  (A photographer I’m not.)  I assure you they’re there, they blend nicely and sparkle satisfactorily.  A little more distant look at this piece, so you can see the tail end of it ~

So that’s the ending referred to above.

And here’s a beginning ~

That’s the beginning of a warp for a new venture, in my favorite color.  Cotton, 24 threads to the inch, with a slight sheen.  Care to guess what it’ll turn into?

  1. Kitchen towels it is, for the first time (yes, you read that right!) in over thirty years of weaving. I’ll write more about them and why I’m taking this Giant Step in a few days. Stay tuned . . . .

  2. Maybe a shawl?

  3. That’s FOUR guesses. And nope. I’ll give a few other folks a shot at this before I reveal the answer.

  4. Right now, it’s ten inches. That’s half. Full width will be twenty. 480 warp threads total. Whaddaya think??

Care to mention how wide it will be? Or do I have count the threads and multiply?

  6. Yep! I know already! We have talked about this one! 🙂
