As of an hour ago, I’m within half a yard of finishing the weaving of the Midwinter Fire Series of designer kitchen towels. Eschewing false modesty, I can say that this is some of the best work I’ve ever done. Without further ado, here are the five not yet shown . . . .
#3, with a fine black cotton weft ~
#4, with a fine medium grey cotton weft ~
#5, with the black again ~
#6, with silver grey cotton weft ~
And, finally, #7, with black again ~
They’ll be off the loom in two days, and then will get their hems hand stitched before washing, drying and ironing. I can’t wait to see them all lined up on a table.
Next up — a series of fine tencel scarves, with complex patterning and a good possibility of some iridescence, an effect that I’ve wanted to aim for but have previously chickened out. Not this time! Fingers crossed . . . .
Kitchen towels? They are so gorgeous I could never even begin to dry my hands on them.
Well done.
okay, but then don’t hit yourself in the eye! These are spectacular! Beautiful color scheme.

Eschew away! (Gesundheit.) While you’re at it, shimmer and shine and definitely snap those suspenders!!! What about auctioning them off instead of first-come, first-served? Give more of us a chance at owning one of these stunning beauties. Of course, then I’d want to frame it instead of drying dishes with it. Midwinter Fire has me burning with desire.
Anne, Your work is so unique & gorgeous, you have every right to be beaming with pride!! I would be honored to be a recipient of one of these towels if there’s any way possible. 🙂 I can’t wait to see your upcoming scarves! You are a true artist my friend. 🙂 Hugs from your sista’ Rudell

Beautiful! I want to see them and touch them.
so unbeliveable beautiful . I wonder how anyone could actually use them for towels 🙂
Stunning. All the components of your design work together splendidly. Well done.
